I have recently joined the South West Leadership Academy as the Leadership Coordinator for Primary Care and Systems and it is a pleasure to be able to introduce myself to you.
This is my first time working for the NHS, so there is a lot for me to learn, but I am really excited to be joining at this time of change and looking forward to supporting our South West leaders through this.
I have a degree in Business with Human Resource Management, last year I achieved my CIPD Level 7 certificate and I recently completed a short Coaching and Mentoring course. Whilst working as a HR generalist following my degree, I was responsible for a L&D platform and this sparked my passion for all things L&D and Talent Management. From this I moved into a Learning & Development role, supporting leadership and management development for a large private company. Seeing leaders develop their skills and have a real impact on their teams is really rewarding for me.
I am originally from the South West, but after finishing university in Newcastle, I moved to the South East for work and although I enjoyed being closer to London, I knew that the South West was where I really wanted to be and town life is just not for me! I am really enjoying being back in the countryside, going for long walks and spending days at the beach. I am looking forward to getting back into playing netball and horse-riding (once I find a new club/school!).
I look forward to working with you and improving our leadership together!
