As part of our ongoing efforts in the SWLA to take an exploratory perspective on the nature of leadership, both now and in the future, we are delighted to announce a long term project with our partner Cognitive Edge.
We aim to use their applied research tool SenseMaker to gather and analyse the collective stories and narratives that are shaping our contemporary leadership experience, and are inviting practitioners of leadership, at all levels and in all contexts, to download and use SenseMaker.
In doing so, we hope to uncover patterns and draw upon the wisdom of the crowd to make sense of the demands, opportunities and expectations of leadership in our uncertain and complex environment, and help us light a path for the future; one that is shaped by the rich diversity of human perspectives across our region.
As you journal your experiences of leadership, SenseMaker provides a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of that experience; for us, the collection of entries will provide the foundations to our approach to leadership, and leadership development, as we pursue our future ambitions.
This is a genuine effort at co-producing insight to inform practice, as well as acting to collect an oral history of leadership in this unique and critically important time in the NHS, and your participation is of the highest value.

- Use as frequently as you are able; we do not collect names and cannot identify entries, only the number.
