The review day for our Emerging Talent in Organisational Development Programme took place today (Wednesday 8th May) at Taunton Rugby Club.
Participants learnt about several new tools, skills and approaches to diagnosing and intervening effectively in organisational systems and were made aware of the body of knowledge they can access, both in terms of other resources, and within the community of practice within their organisation.
The aims and objectives of the programme were to develop a pipeline of OD Talent across the South West, build capability in OD practice, recognise emerging talent in OD, nurture and support and build a succession plan for the existing OD Network.
As a result of the programme participants increased their confidence and impact as OD and change practitioners, gained greater awareness of their own relationship to/with change, developed a better understanding of the relationship between OD and change practice and were given a broader knowledge of the history and field of OD practice, and its relationship to/with change practice.
John Monahan, Deputy Director of the South West Leadership Academy said “At today’s review day we captured the array of skills and knowledge our talented OD practitioners have developed over the past 12 months.
This is the first cohort on the programme and it’s a great foundation to building our talent pipeline in the South West. Congratulations to all the participants!”
