Healthcare Leadership Model

The Healthcare Leadership Model was developed to support all leaders, in Health and Social care, in their day to day role. Leaders can benefit by discovering and exploring their own leadership behaviours and this awareness of both their strengths and limitations will have a direct impact on how they behave and interact with others.

Across the South West we have a number of facilitators who have been trained to deliver feedback to those who have completed their 360’s and we have a number of organisations who have or are exploring how to incorporate the Healthcare Leadership Model into their leadership development.

This 1-day event has been designed following feedback from our facilitators about how we can support their needs and continued development, and also from our stakeholder organisations wanting to know more about the model, how it can be used and its future development.

We are pleased to be supported in this event by some of the team from JCA Global, the system providers for the HLM, and Tracy Lonetto from the National Leadership Academy.

JCA will be providing a CPD session during the morning looking at techniques that will support you when facilitating difficult HLM feedback conversations.

Tracey will then be able to provide a National update looking at the data analysis, the trends identified and how these will support how the HLM Model will evolve.There will also be the opportunity for a Q&A session with both experts.

The afternoon will be a “World Café” style session with tables hosted by JCA and organisations from across the South West who have incorporated the HLM into their leadership development. You will be able to choose to visit the table(s) that best meets your needs or alternatively you may wish to host a table and share your organisational experiences and plans.

Those interested in the HLM and how this could be incorporated within their organisations.

Aims and objectives:

  • Respond to facilitator feedback and their CPD requirements.
  • Understand regional/national trends and how this will shape the future of the model.
  • Provide a platform for your questions to be asked.
  • Share and learn with others from across the region on how the HLM can support leadership development.

Facilitators:

Tracy Lonetto – Programme Lead, Healthcare Leadership Model and UK National Coordinator, HOPE European Exchange Programme

Tracy Lonetto is the NHS Leadership Academy’s Programme Lead for the Healthcare Leadership Model, as well as the UK National Coordinator for the HOPE European Exchange Programme.  She has led the research and development of the Healthcare Leadership Model since 2013. Since then Tracy has worked to build a range of tools and resources to support healthcare colleagues to promote and embed the Model within professional and clinical leadership practice, education and regulation.

Tracy is also a Healthcare Leadership Model 360 degree feedback facilitator as well as an Action Learning Set facilitator and enjoys spending time with individuals and groups to assist with their development.

Peter Clarke, Principal Consultant, JCA Global

Peter Clarke is the Principal Consultant for JCA Global and brings a deep understanding of how different organisations apply and embed the HLM and associated products; applying his knowledge to common or new challenges.

Whether working in the public or private sector, with senior leaders, first time leaders or graduates, Peter brings a practical insight and understanding about how Emotional Intelligence can support growth and sustained development.
