Coaching Skills for Leaders

Thursday March 21st, 2019 | 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Venue: South West Leadership Academy

Here at the South West Leadership Academy we understand the importance of providing those with leadership responsibility the opportunity to develop skills in coaching and embedding a coaching style into their leadership and management practice.

Our recent Building Relationships events also provided feedback to say that you would like to see this offered within our portfolio too. So, we have partnered with Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust and the Cornwall Coaching Hub to provide the first two cohorts. Our one day ‘Coaching Skills for Leaders’ programme is aimed at leaders of all levels who have an interest in using coaching approaches to engage and support their teams.

The programme is designed to provide a foundation in the practical application of coaching skills in day to day work, focusing on developing the foundation skills of coaching.  The content covers a range of topics, enabling participants to be clear on when a coaching style is appropriate and demonstrate personal confidence in their coaching practice.

 Learning Outcomes:

– To develop the foundation skills of a coaching style

– To learn and be able to use a model of coaching in workplace conversations

– To appreciate when a coaching style is appropriate

– Applying a coaching style at work to achieve better conversations
