Some coaches go through their training and complete their qualification but don’t always get a lot of opportunity to use their skills and so lose confidence. Some have qualified some time ago and feel that their coaching has become predictable and prescriptive. TVWLA is piloting this workshop in Dorset for coaches who feel they need some further guidance to reinvigorate their coaching practice.
About the workshop
The objective for the workshop is to remind/teach participants the following:
- To understand the competencies that make up a good coach
- To know how these competencies ‘show up’ in live practice
- To benchmark themselves against the competency framework through self-assessment and feedback from others
- To individually and collectively consider the opportunities to promote and work within their own organisation/across the system to coach and to contribute to the coaching culture
