Momentum and Pacesetter Series
System Leadership emphasises particular leadership qualities required to effectively work across boundaries, to work with diverse groups of people, patients and staff. Working in a system and at the same time acting as a change agent within that system to improve its overall performance.
We have two complementary development programmes designed to aid the development of critical systems leadership skills.
The Momentum Series
Key System Leadership behaviours, skills and techniques. A ready-made system Leadership toolkit enabling delegates to face and meet the challenges of system leadership with greater confidence.
Suitable for managers at all levels (and emergent leaders) who need to get to grips with the challenges of working within new people systems or develop strategies to optimise the effectiveness of existing systems.
A Six Module Programme (made up of 1 day Masterclasses) - Conducive to a Cohort based approach or modular attendance. Consisting of:

Embracing new ways of working with dispersed power, leaders will be using a more facilitative style with groups when leading debates, meetings and solving shared problems. Practical tools and techniques to help in the forums where this skill set is paramount.

Finding ways of 'delivering' which may be seen as different or novel. STP forums are expected to operate in a way which release energy, creativity and ambition - via partnership working across organisational boundaries and sectors. Building creative behaviours and approaches in to leaders' natural repertoire.

Setting the landscape and agenda for meaningful and direct debate. Managing challenge and conflict within these forums and finding ways to diffuse tension, manage emotion and forge collaborative and constructive working patterns.
The Pacesetter Series
A 'follow on' series providing greater depth on key areas of the Systems agenda.
Suitable for established leaders who are looking to fine tune their approach and behavioural flexibility within the context of their particular systems challenges.

The personal impact of leaders. Defining a vision and creating compelling narratives. The Leaders own world views and the need for consistency and flexibility in their 'storytelling'.

A more bespoke intervention. Working to address themes around specific group, organisational or system challenges which need a burst of creativity and a focused and structured approach to encouraging innovation.
- Influencing & Negotiation

The essential requirements of influence and persuasion. Achieving win-win outcomes and maintaining good will in dealings with others in a Systems context. Building a case, defining bargaining limits and conducting a structured negotiation.
