Advanced Analytics Workshops
This programme has been designed for Strategic Workforce Planners and other Workforce Professionals who are responsible for the design and delivery of workforce metrics within their organisation. The aim of the 2 day workshop is to enable participants to drive strategic insights into workforce issues and how to use metrics and analytics as an input into HR Strategy.
- By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand how to focus metrics and analytics efforts to get real impact.
- Use analytics to gain insight and make smart decisions about the workforce.
- Understand the range of techniques that can be used to carry out in-depth analytics.
- Apply a combination of techniques in the context of an organisation’s workforce issues.
- Understand how to conduct forecasting, cost-models, correlations and predictive analysis in practice.
- Use applications to specific workforce issues such as recruitment, turnover, diversity and business outcomes.
The workshop is focussed on selecting and using the right analytics rather than on the analysis of data so an in-depth knowledge of databases is not needed.
Julia Howes is a Principal in Mercer‘s UK Talent Business. Julia has worked in professional services organisations for over 12 years, and specialises in strategic workforce planning, workforce analytics and workforce metrics. She has worked across a variety of services in this field.
Julia has conducted workforce planning consulting engagements for client in a variety of industries including telecommunications, airservices, mining, manufacturing, banking and finance, health and IT, in a number of countries and regions including Australia, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa. Julia also has significant experience in assisting clients who work in heavily regulated industries.
Julia has previously worked at SuccessFactors (Infohrm) where she managed the North American Strategic Membership Services team and the EMEA Professional Services team. Both of these teams focused on providing consulting services in workforce planning and analytics. Julia also practised as a lawyer in Australia and Vietnam.
Julia has a bachelor's degree in Law, and a bachelor's degree in Business from QUT in Brisbane, Australia.

The programme is funded through Health Education England. However, a cancellation charge of £1200 will be charged to your organisation in the case of non-attendance; unless a deputy is sent or cancellation is emailed 16 calendar days in advance of the event date to email@example.com. Charges won’t apply if the event is cancelled by the organiser.
